According to historical records, this traditional craft village was formed in the XIV - XV centuries, during the Ly Dynasty. The birth of this Bat Trang pottery village in Hanoi is due to 5 famous pottery families including Tran, Vuong, Nguyen, Le, Pham in Bo Bat pottery village, Ninh Binh province, who brought ceramic artists to the business. The village was unique because it was a Vietnamese village without a field.
